Romeo Travis

Romeo Travis was born and raised in Akron, OHIO. He went on to play for the national champions at st Vincent st Mary’s high school alongside LeBron James. After high school Romeo accepted a full athletic scholarship to the University or Akron. While at Akron Romeo received a ton of personal accolades and became an All American and first Mid American Conference player of the year from University of Akron. After his time at Akron rome began an illustrious 14 year professional basketball career abroad living in over 10 countries. Romeo went on to win many personal awards, highlighted by winning a championship and 2018 Finals MVP and forward of the year in France. After graduating from the university of Akron in 2019. Romeo was added to the University of Akron athletics hall of fame. And in March of 2020 his jersey was retired by University of Akron. Romeo is now an assistant coach and entrepreneur. He was an 2022 assistant boys basketball coach for state champions St. Vincent- St. Mary’s

Today, Romeo channels his wealth of experience into coaching and entrepreneurship. In 2022, he took on the role of assistant coach for the boys’ basketball team at St. Vincent-St. Mary’s, guiding the next generation of athletes to a state championship. His transition into coaching reflects his commitment to mentorship and leadership, a fitting continuation of his storied journey from athlete to role model.
